Maia Bouchier and Nat Sciver-Brunt scored centuries as England Women recorded 395-9 declaring in 92 overs on day one of the Test match against South Africa at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein.
Nat Sciver-Brunt scored a 96-ball century, the fastest ever in women’s Tests while Maia Bouchier scored 126 on her Test debut.

England Women squad update: Grace Potts added to Test squad

Seamer Grace Potts has been called up to the England Women Test squad touring South Africa.
The 22-year-old, who joined Lancashire from Central Sparks in October, has been brought in as cover in the seam bowling department.
The four-day Test match against South Africa starts on Sunday (15 December) in Bloemfontein.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the updated England Women’s Central Contract list.
17 players have been awarded full contracts with seven players given two-year contracts and 10 players receiving one-year contracts.

Wicketkeeper-batter Bess Heath has been withdrawn from England Women’s IT20 squad touring South Africa after suffering a thumb injury in training.
An x-ray revealed Heath suffered a fractured thumb which means she is ruled out for the duration of the series.
Heath will now return to the UK to begin her rehabilitation with the ECB medical team.
