England Women level ODI series with victory in Durban
England Women earned a six-wicket win over South Africa to level the One Day International series in Durban.
Player of the match Charlie Dean recorded 4-45 as the hosts were bowled out for 135 in 31.3 overs.
Sophie Ecclestone and seamer Lauren Filer took three wickets each.
Filer bowled Tazmin Brits and Suné Luus leaving the Proteas at 14-2 inside the first four overs.
Annerie Dercksen and captain Laura Wolvaardt’s combined 58 settled the hosts.
Spinner Dean then took a hat-trick inside two overs, Ecclestone dismissed the dangerous Wolvaardt for 35 and Chloe Tryon after her counter-attacking 45 from 49.
Openers Beaumont and Maia Bouchier added 69 for the first wicket, before Nat Sciver-Brunt's 20 and Danni Wyatt-Hodge's unbeaten 25 sealed victory for England in the 24th over.
The series decider takes place in Potchefstroom on Wednesday 11 December.
