Vitality Blast quarter-final dates confirmed

Inaugural champions Surrey will open the 20th anniversary Vitality Blast quarter-finals when they host Yorkshire Vikings, at the Kia Oval on Wednesday.
Surrey won the first-ever men’s Twenty20 competition in 2003 – which remains their one success - and earned a home tie after topping the South Group with the competition’s best record.

CDC Panel impose two-point penalty on Leicestershire

The Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) has imposed a two-point sanction on Leicestershire.

The sanction is imposed immediately to Leicestershire’s 2022 Vitality Blast points total after the club incurred two further fixed penalties during their home match against Northamptonshire Steelbacks on Friday night.
The CDC’s decision follows the sanction it imposed on Leicestershire on 2 August

Alice Davidson-Richards earns recall to England Women’s ODI squad

England Women have announced a 14-strong squad for the Royal London Series against South Africa.

Alice Davidson-Richards, who scored a century on Test debut in Taunton, is in the squad while Danni Wyatt is also selected. Issy Wong and Lauren Bell earn their first call-ups to an ODI squad.

England Men name squads for white-ball matches against India

England Men's selection panel have named squads for the Vitality IT20 series versus India starting on 7 July at the Ageas Bowl and the Royal London ODIs against India starting later this month.

Rain intervened on the final day at Taunton to see the LV= Insurance Test between England Women and South Africa drawn.
The hosts went into the final day needing seven wickets, but only 43 overs were possible.
