England Women squads named for white-ball tour to New Zealand
The England Women IT20 and ODI squads for the forthcoming tour to New Zealand have been named.
Heather Knight’s side will play five IT20s and three ODIs across March and April.
Hollie Armitage and Linsey Smith are named in the IT20 squad for the opening three matches.

ECB announces increased investment, evolved ownership model and expanded competition structure for women’s professional game
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is today announcing the next stage in the evolution of women’s cricket with the creation of a three-tiered domestic competition structure and a shift in the ownership model underpinning the women’s professional game.
In addition, the ECB has also confirmed that it will invest a further £4m-£5m per year into the women’s professional game from 2025-20
Injury update: Emma Lamb
Emma Lamb has undergone surgery on a lower back injury.
Following a recovery period, opening batter Lamb will now begin her rehabilitation with the ECB and Thunder medical teams.
England Women U19s: Tri Series preparation group and new coaching team announced
England Women U19s will tour Sri Lanka to take on the hosts and Australia in a Tri Series (March 2024-April 2024).
Both T20 and 50-over formats will be played across the tour, with more details including dates and locations to be announced in due course.

Heather Knight made one change to the side who won the opening IT20 on Wednesday, Charlie Dean coming in for Mahika Gaur.
Player of the match Dean opened the bowling and made an instant impact, taking a wicket with her second ball, dismissing Shafali Verma and finished 2-16.

Lamb has returned home to the UK where she will see a spinal surgeon to determine next steps.

England Women A have named their squad to take on India A in their forthcoming IT20 series.
Off-spinner Charlie Dean will captain the 13-player group who will travel to India on Sunday.
After a fortnight-long training camp in Oman, the squad will fine-tune their preparations in Mumbai ahead of three IT20 fixtures taking place on Wednesday 29 November, Friday 1 December and Sunday 3 December

Chris Liddle has been appointed as England Women Performance Pace Bowling Coach.
Liddle arrives from Northamptonshire where he was assistant head coach and lead fast bowling coach.
The 39-year-old worked with the London Spirit women’s coaching team for the past two years and has worked with the Sunrisers team during the off season as part of his role with Northamptonshire CCC.

Alex Gidman has been appointed as England Women assistant coach.
The 42-year-old arrives from Kent where he was men’s batting coach and joins the England Women’s coaching team.
A highly respected figure in the men’s game, Gidman previously spent four years as head coach at Worcestershire County Cricket Club who he led to T20 Blast Finals Day in 2019 and was head coach of the white ball tea
Fixtures announced for England Women's tour to India
England Women will play three IT20s and a four-day Test match in Mumbai this December, touring India for the first time since 2019.
The three IT20s will be played under the lights at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, before a four-day Test at DY Patil Stadium.
Heather Knight’s side will travel to Oman for a training camp before their opening IT20 fixture at Wankhede Stadium.

Alice Davidson-Richards added to England Women’s squad for ODI series
Alice Davidson-Richards has been called into the England Women squad for the remainder of the Metro Bank One Day International series against Sri Lanka.
The all-rounder replaces Lauren Bell who continues to recover from illness.
Davidson-Richards will link up with the group from Monday.
ECB & Metro Bank pledge to treble number of girls' cricket teams by 2026
The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Metro Bank have pledged to treble the number of girls’ cricket teams in England and Wales.
The two organisations will work together with the aim of transforming access to grassroots cricket by recruiting 6,000 volunteers to grow girls’ cricket so there are 2,000 clubs with a girls' section and 6,000 girls' teams by 2026.
