England and Lancashire batter Phil Salt has been granted permission to withdraw from the England Men’s IT20 squad for the upcoming three-match Vitality Series against the West Indies.
Salt, who is taking time away on paternity leave following the birth of his child earlier this week, will now spend time at home.
He has been replaced in the squad by Surrey batter Jamie Smith.
The England Men’s selection panel has named a 14-player squad for the Rothesay first Test match against India at Headingley, which begins on Friday 20 June 2025.

England and Surrey seamer Gus Atkinson has been ruled out of the upcoming Metro Bank One-Day Internationals against the West Indies due to a right hamstring strain.
Atkinson sustained the injury during England’s Rothesay Test victory over Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge last week.
He will now undergo a period of rehabilitation under the supervision of the England medical team.
