Women's Ashes 2025 Test match day two: Sutherland hits century

Annabel Sutherland's century gave Australia a commanding lead in the one-off Women's Ashes Test match in Melbourne.

The hosts finished day two on 422-5 and with a lead of 252.

Sutherland, who was dropped on 29 and 31, scored 163 from 258 balls while Beth Mooney ended the day unbeaten on 98.

Ryana Macdonald-Gay took the wicket of Sutherland after Lauren Bell had earlier dismissed Phoebe Litchfield for 45 . Sophie Ecclestone removed Ash Gardner for 44 towards the close of play.

Play resumes at 2.30pm local time tomorrow (Saturday 1 February).
