  • Changes to Junior Formats of Cricket Set to Enhance Experience

    To ensure children have a great experience playing cricket, ECB has spent the last 3 years researching how to help boys and girls develop skills that will stay with them for life, alongside having fun while playing. This has led to new recommended Junior Formats intended to support children developing at their own pace, in games and activities best suited to their age and ability.

  • Playing conditions for The Hundred confirmed

    ECB today confirmed that the First-Class Counties of England and Wales have agreed to a 100-ball format for the New Competition, now officially known as The Hundred.
    The key elements of the new white-ball game for 2020 will be:
    100 balls per innings A change of ends after ten balls Bowlers deliver either five or ten consecutive balls Each bowler can deliver a maximum of 20 balls per game

    Clare Connor has been appointed to the new role of Managing Director, Women’s Cricket while David Mahoney has been named Chief Operating Officer.

    ECB today announced the appointment of BT’s Tony Singh as its new Chief Commercial Officer.
