Press release -

Sciver stars in ODI clean sweep

England Women 256-10 beat West Indies Women 105-9 by 151 runs.

England Women secured the CG United ODI series 3-0 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua.

Nat Sciver (85) starred with yet another outstanding performance with the bat, becoming the second fastest English woman to reach 3000 ODI runs. Supported by Danni Wyatt (35) and captain for the game Amy Jones (32*) England posted a competitive 256.

It took a little from all the bowlers to get through the West Indies batting line up but with Sophie Ecclestone's 3 for 9 and Sciver's 2 for 16, it wasn't long until the away side were lifting the trophy.

Sciver was named player of the match and the series.

QUOTE:

England all-rounder, Nat Sciver, said: "In terms of performance I just wanted to make sure I enjoyed myself, especially being back on the pitch, so without any expectations it's been brilliant really. I've surprised myself.

"I think the switching mindset that Lewy [Jon Lewis] wants us to live and breathe out on the pitch, has really helped as well. It has taken it away from the actual skills and switched it back to the mindset which has worked for me.

"I wouldn't have thought anything would change with our game plans ahead of T20Is, I don't see Lewy going defensive now heading into the shorter format. T20 can be difficult, a team can win and lose it on a ball or two, so we'll have to keep our wits about us and make sure we're playing with an eye on the T20 World Cup."
