McGrath takes Australia Women to Ashes lead

Australia Women 170-1 beat England Women 169-4 by 9 wickets

A stunning all-round performance from Tahlia McGrath saw Australia Women win the first IT20 of the Women's Ashes and go 2-0 up in the multi-format series.

The all-rounder bludgeoned 91 from just 49 balls to chase down England's 169-4, and eclipse the visitors' promising showing with the bat. Earlier, McGrath had taken 3-26 to peg England back after Danni Wyatt had made an impressive 70.

The second IT20 is at the same venue, Adelaide Oval, on Saturday - 3.10am GMT. The multi-format Ashes is the best of 16 points, with two points each for a white-ball game and four points for the Test match.
