ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: Bouchier leads England to victory over Scotland

Maia Bouchier’s unbeaten 62 helped England Women secure a 10-wicket victory over Scotland in their ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 Group B match in Sharjah.

Heather Knight made two changes from the opening two matches with Lauren Bell and Sophia Dunkley coming in for their first appearances of the tournament.

Openers Bouchier and Danni Wyatt-Hodge both recorded unbeaten half centuries as they secured the 110 runs needed in 10 overs.

Sophie Ecclestone took 2-13 while Charlie Dean and the returning Bell also contributed with a wicket each.

Winning the toss and choosing to bat, Scotland started positively before Saskia Horley was caught off Sciver-Brunt while Sarah Bryce was stumped off Ecclestone.

Ailsa Lister and Lorna Jack-Brown fell in quick succession, Lister dismissed by Danielle Gibson, the returning Bell bowling the latter, Scotland finished their innings on 109-6.

England’s final Group B clash sees them take on West Indies in Dubai on Tuesday (15 October).

Saturday 5 October, Bangladesh v England, Sharjah – England won by 21 runs

Monday 7 October, England v South Africa, Sharjah – England won by seven wickets

Sunday 13 October, England v Scotland – England won by 10 wickets

Tuesday 15 October, England v West Indies, Dubai, 6pm local time/3pm UK time
