England Women overcome South Africa to round off series

England Women 176-6 beat South Africa 138-6 by 38 runs

England Women won the final match of the multi-format series against South Africa at Derby to run out 14-2 winners in the multi-format series.

Freya Kemp made her debut - the second 17-year-old to make their England bow in a week - and took her maiden international wickets, while Alice Capsey shone on her first outing with the bat for her country, making 25 from just 17 balls.

Sophie Ecclestone was her team's top-scorer with the bat, taking the final over for 26 to take England to 176-6. Danni Wyatt made 30, and Amy Jones made 28. Ecclestone was awarded Player of the Match and Player of the Series.

South Africa made 138-6 in reply, as England won the Vitality IT20 series 3-0 to back up their whitewash in the Royal London series and the drawn LV= Insurance Test match.

The England team's next engagement sees them make history by taking on Sri Lanka in the Commonwealth Games at Edgbaston on Saturday.

Friday July 15: England v South Africa - England won by 114 runs. 6-2.

Monday July 18: England v South Africa - England won by 109 runs. 8-2.

Vitality IT20 Series

Thursday July 21: England v South Africa - England won by six wickets. 10-2.

Saturday July 23: England v South Africa - England won by six wickets. 12-2.

Monday July 25: England v South Africa  - England won by 38 runs. 14-2.
