England Women open ODI series with victory over Pakistan

England Women opened their Metro Bank ODI series against Pakistan with a 37-run win at the Incora County Ground, Derby.

Alice Capsey top-scored for England with 44 runs while Pakistan skipper Nida Dar took 3-56 as the home side finished on 243-9.

In the tourist’s innings, Lauren Bell dismissed Sidra Ameen, Sophie Ecclestone shone with 3-26, with Charlie Dean, Bell and Kate Cross ending on two wickets apiece.

Pakistan were at 149-4 but reached 206-9 from 50 overs.
