England Women edge tight match at Worcester

England Women 197 beat New Zealand 169 by 13 runs (DLS)

England Women rallied hard with the ball to defend 197 and come out on top in a tense and rain-affected second Royal London International against New Zealand at Worcester.

Danni Wyatt, in her 200th game for England, played something of a lone hand with an unbeaten 67 in a disappointing batting performance.

Wyatt and her teammates were indebted to Tash Farrant who contributed 22 to a record-breaking tenth-wicket partnership of 51.

The duo took England to 197 and gave them something to try and defend. The bowlers chipped away throughout the visitors' chase, with Kate Cross picking up three wickets and Charlie Dean starring after a rain break to take 4-36 and get England over the line.
