England Men's Mixed Disability team wrapped up the Vitality IT20 series in dominant fashion, beating India by 43 runs in the final match at Bristol County Ground to secure a 6–1 series win.
England were tested early, losing Ronnie Jackson (0) and captain Callum Flynn (7) to leave them 18 for 2 inside seven overs. Josh Price made 26 before falling to Ravinda Sante, but it was Brendon Parr who helped steady the innings with 35 from 21 balls. He shared a key partnership with Chris Edwards (23 from 18), guiding England to a solid total of 135 for 5.
India’s chase got off to a poor start, with four wickets falling for just 27 runs in the first six overs. Jimmy Dixon led the way with three wickets, setting the tone early.
Chris Edwards then took control with the ball, finishing with figures of 4 for 23 from his four overs. He removed India’s top scorer, Rajesh Irappa Kannur, who made 52 from 54 balls.
India were eventually bowled out for 92, meaning England took the series with an emphatic 6–1 victory, capping off a strong all-round team performance.
Chris Edwards received the Vitality Man of The Match for his contributions to the day.
India's Player of The Series went to Vivek Kumar, who took 10 wickets across the series averaging just under 18.
England's Player of The Series went to Liam O'Brien who scored 50's across three matches and taking wickets along the way.
England Men's Mixed Disability Captain, Callum Flynn, said: "I'm an unbelievably proud captain. The boys have worked incredibly hard these last six months and deserve every moment of this.
"India have put us in some tricky positions this series but we've fought back and been clever about our cricket.
