  • ECB confirms restructure to selection of England Men's senior teams

    The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has today announced a restructure of its selection system for men's international teams.
    As part of the restructure, the role of National Selector, currently held by Ed Smith, who was appointed in spring 2018, will no longer exist, and Smith will leave the ECB at the end of the month. In those three years England have enjoyed success across all formats,

  • ​Ben Stokes to have surgery on finger injury

    England all-rounder Ben Stokes will be out for up to 12 weeks after a repeat X-ray and CT scan on Thursday revealed that he has a fracture of his left index finger.
    Stokes, who is currently in India with Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, will fly home tomorrow. He will have surgery in Leeds on Monday.

  • India A tour postponed

    The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have agreed to postpone this summer's men's India A tour.
    The India Men’s team will instead tour with a larger squad to prepare for, and use during, the five-match LV= Insurance Test Series.
    India’s warm-up schedule will now comprise two intra-squad four-day matches, which will replace the two previous

  • Jofra Archer Injury Update

    England and Sussex bowler Jofra Archer has been given the all-clear by his hand Consultant to resume training after his right hand continues to heal following his operation on Monday 29 March.
    He will return to light training this week, working closely with the Sussex and England men’s medical teams.
    It is hoped that he will be able to up his intensity with his bowling from next week.
