  • Young Lions announce England U19 World Cup squad

    The England U19 selection panel, headed up by Head Coach Richard Dawson, have selected a 15-strong squad and two travelling reserves for the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup.
    The tournament will take place in the Caribbean in January, with England drawn in Group A alongside 2020 winners Bangladesh, Canada and United Arab Emirates. England won the Plate Final in the 2020 tournament.

  • Young Lions to tour Sri Lanka

    The England & Wales Cricket Board and Sri Lanka Cricket have confirmed that the England Men's Young Lions (U19) will tour Sri Lanka later this month in a five-match limited-over series. The tour is part of England's preparation ahead of the ICC Men's Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean starting in January.

    ECB have today announced a number of new appointments in the England men’s pathway.
    In one of three elite coaching appointments, Former England and Somerset batter Marcus Trescothick has been confirmed as Elite Batting Coach.     A proposed England U19 tour of Australia in April of this year has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
    The tour was originally scheduled for February 2021, and then pushed back to April to give it the best chance of taking place, but this week both boards agreed it was necessary to postpone further.
