Metro Bank to become Official Title Partner for One Day Cricket
Following the recent announcement that Metro Bank will become the first ever Champion of Women’s and Girls’ Cricket, the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) today announces that Metro Bank will also become Official Title Partner for One Day Cricket.
This opportunity will see the Bank become title partner of the Metro B
England Women and England Men to play concurrent white-ball series against Pakistan to open the international summer. England Women return to high-capacity venues including Edgbaston, Headingley, The Ageas Bowl, The Kia Oval and Lord’s following record ticket sales this summer. England Men host Pakistan Men in four IT20s before flying out to defend their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title in the Unit
ECB and the wider game will mark Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign from July 1-July 6.
The campaign - now in its 10th year - is designed to promote LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport. Cricket will be participating for the seventh season in a row.
Players will be given laces, stumps will be branded and there will be big-screen graphics across all Vitality Blast and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy fixture
Leicestershire leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed has been added to the England Men’s Test squad for the second LV= Insurance Men’s Ashes Test against Australia starting at Lord’s on Wednesday 28 June 2023 as cover for spinning all-rounder Moeen Ali.
Ahmed, 18, who made his Test debut in the final Test against Pakistan in Karachi last winter, will join the rest of the squad this weekend in London.
