    Cricket Discipline Commission Hearing - Essex CCC

    An independent Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) Panel has imposed a £50,000 fine on Essex CCC after the club pleaded guilty to two charges in relation to a racist comment made in 2017 at an Essex CCC Executive Board meeting.
    The club has also been cautioned as to further conduct and issued with a reprimand. £15,000 of the fine is suspended for two years.

    On 3 February, a Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) Panel imposed a five-match ban on Alex Davies in relation to the player’s historic social media posts.

    The Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) has imposed a suspended sanction against Sussex County Cricket Club following a remote disciplinary hearing on 15 June. The hearing was held after Sussex received five fixed penalties in a 12-month period.

    Hampshire bowler Chris Wood has received a two-month suspended ban following an investigation by the ECB’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU).
    Wood admitted to charges relating to a total of nine bets that he placed on cricket matches in 2011 (two bets) and 2016 (seven bets). These actions breached Article 2.2.1 of the relevant ECB Anti-Corruption Codes that were in place at the time.
